Dine Aboard Asfiye

Dining aboard a gulet is a highlight of the entire tour. Turkish fare ranks along with French and Chinese as the world's three most important cuisines; it is healthy, immaculately fresh and well suited to vegetarian tastes. On the morning of your departure our shore agent and chef visit our butcher, fishmonger and greengrocer and select the choicest and freshest products available; then it is onto a conventional supermarket for all the other items required to produce possibly the finest series of meals which you will have ever enjoyed.

We source the freshest products and select to the highest standards; you will find that our cuisine is among the best available for charter. All three of our crew are trained as chefs and will deliver beyond your wildest expectations.

 

Breakfast consists of a variety of cheeses, sliced cucumber and tomatoes, olives of every variety, breads and preserves, beef sausages, ripe melon and egg dishes, along with tea, coffee and juices.

 

Lunch presents a varied fare of vegetable dishes, zucchini fritters, pastas, pilafs, salads of every combination, followed by a fruit desert. Later, an afternoon tea will be served along with sweet and savory pastries.

 

Dinner will vary between the freshest fish, lamb, beef or chicken. The same dinner will include a host of vegetable dishes followed by a platter of the freshest fruits available.

 

 

Our Standard Menu, at 50 € per person per day, is anything but standard: you will be served a wide and generous range of appetizer, entree and side dish selections representing the hallmarks of Turkish cuisine.


Our Deluxe Menu, at 60 € per person per day allows us to truly excel by selecting speciality seafood items, the choicest meats and a wider range of vegetable, fruit and dessert offerings: Breakfast might include the addition of crepes filled with chocolate or cheese. At lunch, perhaps a shrimp or octopus salad. Tea time includes a freshly baked spinach pie in phylo in addition to the standard offerings. Cocktails will present a wider hors d'ovres service and at dinner, the choice of a whole baked grouper or monkfish rather than grilled sea bream.

 

Both options include all day coffee, tea, juices, bottled water, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages. Either option provides you an entire day of glorious food for less than the price of a single dinner with drinks in a good restaurant.
