Kaş and Aperlae

East of Kalkan is the larger town of Kaş. There are old Ottoman houses now converted into shops and restaurants. The town is well known for a pedestal style sarcophagus standing in the middle of the avenue leading down to the harbor. Other ruins include a Hellenistic theater, an agora and rock cut tombs in the cliff face above the town.
